Have been coming here about once a month for years. Always good food and friendly service. There are other Mexican restaurants in town, but this is my fav
Excellent food and a local food feel restuarant. The chicken enchiladas are great with a unique sauce...mild delicious and I think the waitress said carrot based.
The Food was Wonderful, We really did not stay because the Electricity had cut out.
Great food 😋
Inexpensive, good food & nice selection options
Excellent food and very nice people working there. Chips and salsa was DELICIOUS too!! Will definitely be going back!!
Great experience at Chapala! Our server was delightful. She gave us good recommendations, told us about the history of the restaurant (21 years in business), and was very helpful.Everything we ordered was delicious: enchiladas (with house-made sauce); fresh made chips; guacamole; tacos and chili rellenos. The chili rellenos were the stand out; if you go there, don’t skip them.Chapala is a great choice in a place that has lots of choices.
The best everything! I've been visiting this place for the last 18 years and the food as well as the service here, only gets better every time.
Simple menu, simple food, well prepared, generous portions. What's not to like?
Great service
Very satisfying. Large portions and friendly staff. Quaint and inviting.
Simple and delicious tacos. They're generous with the meat (love!!) and the fresh chips with salsa were good as well.
I love this restaurant the stuff is incredibly amazing it's a fun friendly family environment with a dozen things to choose from from hot dogs and hamburgers 2 deliciously authentic Mexican food
The food was quailty. I had the Chilli Relleno and Carne Asada Taco. Flavors were really good. Service great. I use to come here a lot before moving. Glad they have carried on a great family tradition!
Was visiting from fresno and stopped by for the 1st time. Not sure what to expect? I had the chili verde burrito. It was delicious. Tasted like it had just been cooked and it was an hour before close. My friend had asada tacos that she also enjoyed. So if your in the area this place does it right.
Great, authentic Mexican food!
The service is friendly and helpful. The food looks good but tastes a bit insipid and is too dry. The prices are too high for plastic plates and glasses. The place could also be cleaner. Not a recommendation, sorry.
The new look spices things up
Do not pass this place up. Some of the most authentic Mexican food I've ever had. The plate was beautiful the ingredients were fresh and everything was prepared as if we were the only customer they had. The flavors were outstandingly delicious. We are from out of town, but we will definitely be back to this place.
Pastor and carne asada tacos were packed full of lean, flavorful meat !! Got some grilled peppers for extra heat, they were seasoned nicely..the food was good !!
How do you say , my favorite?
Delicious spicy tacos at this informal restaurant.
Best Piscado Frito English Fried Fisk whole Tilapa with rice n beans on the side best!
This spot is the one I always prefer. I visit many restaurants but to this restaurant I constantly return again and again. The stuff is very friendly and the cooking they serve is so tasty. I would always prefer to have a nice meal in this place. I highly recommend this place.
Best authentic Mexican food in the area! And I live in the central valley where we have some of the best Mexican food 😋 😍
There are quite a few Mexican food restaurants along this stretch of road, so be sure to give Chapala Market a try. I just ate dinner there with five other guests and everyone left satisfied. I had the fish tacos - one grilled, the other fried - and they were both very good. I asked for hot, not mild and they were hot, but good. Pleasant service and a nice vibe awaits you.
One of the best places to stop for tacos. Always nice and quick.
Best Mexican food around. Never had a bad experience
Food was not great and it took an hour for our food. Would not recommend. The water tasted funny, morro bay tap water is not good. I ordered a Tamarindo drink that was good and the tortillas were good. The food not so much. The service was not the worst but not the best.
The food that I had for dinner here was a 3 piece taquito plate and a Al Pastor soft taco on the side. The taquitos were fried too long and were dry tasting inside. The Al Pastor taco while quite large and overstuffed, the meat was so dry it crunched upon eating it. I will try again in the future to see if I have a different experience dining here but for now I feel three stars is adequate if not optimistic.
Very nice place really enjoyed the eating experience. Carnitas was top-notch chicken taco delicious think I would have preferred a green sauce instead of the red hot sauce. Will definitely return! Great view of the sunset.!
$4.25 for ONE (1) beer bottle. Of course she didn't tell me before she opened it. No tip; take it out of the register. Salsa tastes like Ketsup. Chips are Greasy. Burrito was said to be 10 minutes. I called it in 25 minutes ago. Still not here. Just go to Tacos de Mexico, for value and taste.
The absolute best Mexican food in the town!
Love the Chile rellenos here and the service was friendly and quick. Had the sopas too yummy, definitely returning. This was my second time here.
Food was great, prices good and decor was nice.
Wandered in this place on our way back from Hearst Castle. We felt like Mexican food and this fit the bill. The staff was very friendly. The food was what was expected from a casual Mexican cantina. The inside is cute, but it was so quiet inside. There was no music playing! It would have been so much nicer if there was Latin music playing to fit the scene. It was so awkward without anything playing.
good food , great 7 Mares
The guac is amazing. Best torta ive had in years. Staff is friendly and atmosphere was cool and mellow.
If you like Mexican food this is the place to come
Good food. A little slow today (1-1-20) only one waitress for a full restaurant.
Amazing food ! Great Service. Even better pricing !! Will be back ! Oh.. And amazing michealadas
The Best Mexican Restaurant in Morro Bay, Ca. In my opinion. Good food. Has great taste and presentation. Clean inside and out. Friendly people. Best we've had in a long time. Will differently come back. Been in business for 25 plus years. There's a reason people.Located next to Pacific Coast Highway 1. Find it and try it! You'll love it!
Best Mexican food in Morro Bay! The pastor burrito is fire! Salsa is amazing, we lived here 2 1/2 years without trying this restaurant and I now wonder how I lived without it, pastor burrito FTW!! (Disregard the comments about plastic plates, it’s not about the tableware, the food speaks for itself!)
The dopest!!! Illest!!..
3 stars from me. I had the camarones al mojo de ajo with a side of rice and beans. Rice was super dry and would've loved if tortillas where hand made. Place needs deep cleaning too!
The tacos are delicious....
Awesome classic Mexican food. Consistent and reliable. Love these guys!
Great food, service and micheladas.
Quite good for a discount meal.
